Our vision

 ‘Marginalised groups’ will soon become an outdated term. Enter Uncle's corner shop to see how we smash the stereotypes to make this happen.

Growing up with only white barbie dolls available and seeing similar ideologies reflected in the media and education for decades, UCS is determined to make the change, which will benefit us ALL.

Will you join us? To celebrate our mixtape, mashup, post colonial culture. To encourage discussion about what needs to change, crushing stereotypes and to eventually educate and empower people so they feel confident to take up space, because there’s room for us all. 

Our Values

Our shelves are stocked full of the UCS core belief: We are all human beings on a planet spinning in the middle of nowhere- being marginalised for our skin colour, class, gender or non binary identity, disabilities, abilities, who we choose to love, place of birth, how much money we earn, beliefs etc. is nonsensical. 

By celebrating our mashup cultures we are able to take something positive from an unjust colonial history and the after effects. . We weren’t part of the original big plan and that makes us incredible. As we can shape our own paths by owning our past , learning from it and demonstrating what equality looks like by moving forward TOGETHER.
